Supporting Disabled Adults in their Parenting Role

A review of the issues raised by the Task Force on Supporting Disabled Adults in their Parenting Role Set up in 2000, the Task Force on Supporting Disabled Adults in their Parenting Role aimed to highlight and challenge the barriers facing disabled parents.

This report reviews the issues it raised. The Task Force found a great deal of common experience among parents, including unequal access to mainstream services and support and negative attitudes from service providers, all of which undermined family life for disabled parents and their children.
